Magnus Pirovino
Magnus Pirovino started his investment career in
1993, at LGT Bank in Liechtenstein, as quantitative analyst. In 1997 he was
appointed head of fixed income and quantitative research of LGT bank and in 1998 managing director fixed income of the then newly founded
asset management unit LGT Capital Management. He was CEO of LGT Capital
Management from 2001 to 2007 and responsible for up to CHF 22 billion of
clients’ assets under management. From 1998 to 2011 he was chairman of the
Investment Committee GIM, overseeing all investments of LGT’s princely strategy
GIM, with its outstanding track record. From 2011 to 2017 he was founding partner
of OPIRO Finance Partners Ltd, and since 2017 founder and owner of the
successor company OPIRO Consulting Ltd, Triesen.
Mr Pirovino holds a PhD in Mathematics (ETH Zurich). He is a member of the
Swiss Society for Financial Market Research and of the advisory board of the
degree program "Master of Science in Quantitative Finance" at the
University and ETH Zurich.
